Treatment Landscape in Georgia
Georgia has one of the most robust behavioral health treatment networks in the Southeast, with hundreds of licensed facilities across metro Atlanta, Augusta, Savannah, and smaller communities throughout the state. The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD) oversees a statewide network of community service boards that offer publicly funded treatment. Georgia Medicaid covers medical detox, residential treatment, and outpatient programs for eligible residents.
